Ethical Approaches to Teaching Self-Regulation and Spirituality: Finding Peace is an Inside Job

September 26th, 10 am to 5 pm. $100. Please write me at jonnygieber@gmail.com if interested.

This course meets the requirement for the 6 hour Ethics requirement for recertification for the CRM and/or the CADC I.

I am looking for folks who need recertification hours who would be willing to travel to Battle Ground for a 6 hour training: Ethical approaches to teaching Self-Regulation and Spirituality: Finding Peace is an Inside Job. I have a gorgeous retreat space and land for the training. This training would meet the requirements for an Ethics training per MHACBO.

This training will be lead in a retreat format where the emphasis will be on direct engagement with the presented concepts and skills. The following objectives will be addressed:

1. Define addiction in terms of the reptilian brains’ ability to over-ride the “higher-self” (cerebral cortex) which ultimately creates a major conflict with behavior (using beyond intent) and values (using despite negative consequences).

2. Define spirituality as the relationship we have with our higher self, others and the world.

3. Describe the modern emphasis on victimhood as disempowerment and how shifting to an internal focus is the path to empowered peace.

4. Define the effect trauma has on ongoing activation of the fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses which prioritizes safety over higher consciousness.

5. Describe the importance of activation of the ventral vagal nervous system as part of connection with our higher self, others and the world.

6. Describe and give an opportunity to encounter a plethora of strategies that can be used

to activate the Ventral Vagal system.

7. Explore the ethics of offering a non-religious approach to spiritualty that could be utilized by participants regardless of their religious preference.

Payment options:  Mail check or money order to Jonny Gieber PO Box #1118, Brush Prairie , Washington, 98606.  Send paypal funds to jonnygieber@gmail.com.  The cost of the course is $100
